Tapiseri is a project years in the making.
Tapiseri (from the Greek transliteration of tapestry) is a three-volume, 25-song Biblical
concept record spanning the story of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation.
Rather than retelling the Bible book by book, Joshua enters its narrative through intimate
first-person storytelling. Each song inhabits a unique perspective — from Adam’s first love
song to Eve, to Abel’s ghost speaking to Cain after his death, to an unnamed Hebrew longing
for freedom in Egypt. Familiar passages, stories, and themes are unfold in unexpected and
deeply human ways, all while remaining deeply faithful to the text.
Volume I traces the biblical story from Creation through the establishment of Israel and the
giving of the Law. Together, its songs explore creation, covenant, exile, identity, and God’s
unwavering faithfulness while laying the foundation for the two volumes that follow.
Developed over four years in collaboration with Joshua’s wife, visual artist Kaitlyn Rose
Leventhal, Tapiseri is intended to be more than an album - it is the beginning of a larger artistic
work encompassing music, visual art, and devotional companions, all to expand our
imagination and engage with God’s Word across our senses.
Volume 1 – Creation through the formation of God’s chosen people and the Law
